    Scope of the Position

    Plan, directs and coordinates advanced manufacturing processes by performing the following duties. Work in a team environment to provide process and equipment design feasibility from a processing perspective. Qualification and optimization of processes for all new programs being launched to ensure manufacturing objectives are met.


    Create and maintain Bills of Material

    Create plant layouts and new equipment footprints through ACAD

    Create and maintain project timelines

    Interface with plant capacity teams for future product planning

    Create and maintain project budget roll-ups

    Track product life cycle through internal PLM system

    Create Process Flow Diagrams

    Conduct process capability studies as needed

    Conduct time studies and establish Standardized Work documents

    Attend and lead APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) meetings and activities

    Attend and participate in PFMEA and Control Plan meetings

    Form and lead cross functional teams

    Project Management using cross functional teams

    Assist Project and Program Managers in new product launch

    Participates in equipment buyoff at vendor sites as required

    Ensures the manufacturing equipment and processes are capable of producing acceptable parts that meet customer standards

    Ensures manufacturing equipment, processes and work environment are all safe for use

    Trouble shoots technical issues as needed and analyzes root cause

    Participates in set-up reduction time activities

    Must support and develop continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency in manufacturing

    Other duties as assigned


    General Requirements
    Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English and interpret directions and / or safety precautions on items such as equipment, cleaning agent containers or plant postings

    Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project and Powerpoint

    Working knowledge of ACAD, Inventor or equivalent 3D modeling software

    Reports environmental incidents immediately to supervisor of the affected area

    Has awareness of the importance of conformance with environmental policies, procedures, and with the requirements of the EMS

    Has awareness of the significant environmental aspects of own work activities and the benefits of improved personal performance

    Understands the effect on the environment of departing from specified operating procedures (work practices) and the potential legal consequences to the employee and the facility

    Ensures that all equipment safety issues are resolved prior to use by production associates

    Reports any and all safety issues immediately to supervisor / team leader / management staff member. Has responsibility to help eliminate safety issues in the work center, such as trip hazards (electrical cords, air lines, oil, or water on the floor).

    Reports any and all work place injuries immediately to supervisor / team leader / management staff member

    Ensures Lock-Out / Tag-Out and “B Key” procedures are followed when working on equipment

    Follows ISO14001 guidelines as they relate to specific job activities

    Maintains compliance to company policies, work rules, PPE, safety standards & housekeeping policies


    Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a four-year college or university.
    Six Sigma Green Belt training is a plus
    High level proficiency in Microsoft Office products – especially Excel and Project
    Working knowledge of Autodesk Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor, and Spinfire
    AS400 knowledge is a plus
    Three to five years of prior experience with a Press/Weld/Paint shop. Demonstration of ability to do the job will also be considered
    Solid working knowledge of press/weld/assembly equipment and processes is required.

    Discusses work-place issues with supervisory / management staff /co-workers in a respectful manner looking for positive solutions
