Who Is Flex-N-Gate?
Starting in 1956 with aftermarket parts and moving into O.E. (Original Equipment) in 1968, Flex-N-Gate (FNG) has emerged from humble beginnings. Our owner, Shahid Khan, has been involved with FNG since its early days when he began working at FNG while pursuing his engineering degree. During his years at FNG, Mr. Khan held a variety of positions, eventually rising to the position of Engineering Manager.
Leaving in 1978, Khan used personal savings and a $50,000 loan from the Small Business Loan Corporation to start his own company, Bumper Works. The wild success of Bumper Works¹ one-piece bumper design presented Mr. Khan the capital to purchase FNG when it came on the market two years later. Fast forward to present date, Mr. Khan continually drives FNG¹s international profile and reputation as the leading manufacturer and supplier of metal components, assemblies and plastic parts for the automotive industry.
A large part of our success at FNG is our dedication to entrepreneurship. We are dedicated to expanding business globally, always keeping the evolving needs of the automotive industry at the core of our decisions. Our entrepreneurial spirit and vision has led to a series of acquisitions that include the Ventra, and Veltri brands. While FNG and Ventra may have different specialties, all three brands operate under the same umbrella and work toward common goals to attract the best talent in the industry who share our commitment to provide best-in-class products for our customers worldwide.
