Scope of the Position

Main objective for this position is to support the Business Unit Manager, Account Managers, Finance and Program Teams. This is to make sure that all needed information to ship, and invoice is correct for tooling, production, service and prototype parts. Support to have all needed information correct in order to keep the system up dated in order to avoid payment issues.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm Customer requirements are aligned to appropriate manufacturing facilities during award of new business or change of locations (Schedule “A” requirement at Ford).
  • Maintain Tool tracking in Customer websites (example Covisint for Ford) & FNG AR.
  • Request and maintains all tooling pics.
  • Coordinate and request appropriate cost summary sheets and audit evidence from sales team.
  • Coordinate and forward tooling vendor invoice package to accounting, to request FnG invoice to Ford.
  • Submit tooling invoice, tool pics, PSW warrant (requested from plant), and audit cost summary sheet, FNG POs to supplier, invoices from suppliers to FnG to Customers - via tooling website.
  • Track payment status via customer websites.
  • Coordinate/engage with customers and FnG stakeholders when Tooling is not passing through the customer approval chain efficiently.
  • After Receipt of Customer payment, notify FnG Finance, Program, and Sales team.
  • Provide weekly tooling invoice/payment updates for regular tool payments, and progressive payments.
  • Track all Engineering changes, and any associated customer cost issues to close.
  • Maintain open issues deck for all outstanding tooling payment issues.
  • Other duties, and special projects as directed by the Business Unit Manager.

Progressive Tool Payment Terms (40/40/20)

  • Track PPAP dates including requesting status updates from plant engineering and then providing updates to account management specifically tied to progressive payment audits.
  • Coordinate Stage 1 & 2, proof of payment threshold for invoices (70%).
  • Submit the Invoice Request form to FnG AP.
  • Maintain spreadsheet tracker for TO’s, invoice info, PPAP status, invoice payment status, etc.
  • Requests cost summary sheet and audit evidence from sales team.
  • Check Customer website and track (Ford / E-payables) updates to estimated pay date and actual pay dates.
  • Notify accounting to make final tooling payments against supplier invoices, and request all proof of payment to suppliers.

Regular Tool payment Terms (PPAP)

  • Submit Invoice Request form to FnG AP.
  • Sends tooling invoice package to accounting to request invoices.
  • Check Customer website and track (Ford / E-payables) updates to estimated pay date and actual pay dates.
  • Track and provide PSW’s to sales team to complete Ford tooling audits.
  • Notify accounting to make final tooling payments against supplier invoices, and request all proof of payment to suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • 2 years proven experience, similar position, or in an accounting role.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PDF, and Power Point software’s.
