  • Scope of the Position

    The selected candidate will oversee shop floor activities with respect to all part quality activities and provide team support for the manufacturing department for shop floor activities. You will also support all continuous improvement activities on a 3 shift operation.

    Responsibilities

    This position entails providing shop floor support in the determination of acceptable and defective product with the manufacturing department. Coordinates Tier 2 supplier activities with respect to communication & sorting activities for defective products found.

    Support for the coordination for all containment activities including dispositioning and reworking of product that has been isolated and identified as suspect or defective and be able to provide sorting assistance and coordination of related activities as required. Summarizes and communicates defect log sheets in order to coordinate improvement activities with respect to part defects found and lead the shop floor in continuous improvement activities with respect to part quality and provide key support for TS 16949 related activities.

    Overseeing all quality related activities of the Quality Inspectors, Dock Auditors, Repack & SOP personnel and leads pre-shift run down meetings with Quality inspectors for all shifts. Train all Quality Inspectors. Also responsible for the creation and maintenance of Quality Alerts, updating and maintaining job instruction boards with assistance from engineering and assists in the organization and upkeep of the Master Sample Room and overseeing & managing the completion of Layered Process Audits. Provide CMS Shop Floor support of the computerized production reporting system and review on a daily basis inspection reports, material handler logs and manage the storage and filing of the documentation for records purposes. Support Fixture & gauge activities including minor repairs & organization of the areas.

    Also any other duties as required.





    Qualifications

    Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent is required, with a

    minimum 5 years experience in plastic injection molding quality requirements.
