Scope of the Position
Responsible for all technical aspects of the plastic plating operations. Insuring production is timely and to the exacting quality standards of our customers.
Communication with plating team members and other departments regarding current projects, issues, and improvements.
Perform continuous improvement responsibilities on all process etc., during production.
Follow up on any nonconforming issues that may arise from the plating line, determine layer of defect, cause of defect, inform quality group of the issue including developing and instituting corrective measures, assure plating operations for products are up to Quality standards.
Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and other solution workers, adhere to safety principles, and maintain good housekeeping standards on and around the plating line.
Review data from the Laboratory and make appropriate adjustments to the production line.
Perform daily line check includes making sure tanks are in operating temperatures, chemical make-up, air patterns, and filters are working.
Carry out plating tank maintenance including but not limited to: overseeing treatments, tank cleanings, and filter changes.
Perform timely Start – up procedure and follow up on test bars through treated tanks and tanks of interest.
Ability to work 12 hours shifts, day or night.
And other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); with strong background in science and math or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A basic knowledge of chemicals would be helpful in performing the functions of this position. Steel or Plastic Plating experience preferred.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets: professional journals/publications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations rules, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, client, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Strong knowledge of computer software applications for data collection, training, presentation, and reporting: (Microsoft Excel and Word).
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
