    Scope of the Position

    The Molding Manager ensures effective and efficient operations of manufacturing molding processes and functions. The Molding Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Molding department production and operation workers to include organizing and managing manpower to ensure plant operations achieve both quality and efficiency goals. This person is also acccountable for the department's production schedule and efficient completion of orders within the approved budget. The Manager will also assist Molding Technicians and production workers in troubleshooting and solving problems. Other duties, relevant to the position, will be assigned as required.The Molding Manager will review completed New Tooling and Processes to assure a Complete and Repeatable Molding Package is delivered.

    Responsibilities

    Manage, coordinate and schedule the activities of employees by ensuring quality, quantity, customer schedules and specifications are met.

    Oversees responsibilities of supervisory staff.

    Ensure production requirements are being met. Analyze production reports, maintain finished good and WIP inventories, compiles daily output, yield and scrap reports.

    Establish methods to meet production and work schedules through the coordination of work activities with other departments.
    Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
    Request materials and supplies.
    Train Injection Mold employees on, and ensure adherence to, job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
    Monitor, assess and manage Injection Mold employee performance.
    Prepare various production reports.
    Educate, monitor and ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
    Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
    The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.

    Qualifications

    Secondary School Diploma required. Bachelor's
    degree in Business Management or Technical Science considered an asset.
    5-7 years' management experience in a manufacturing setting required.

    Previous experience in injection molding.

    Experience in automotive environment preferred.

    Conflict Resolution Management, Time Management

    Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, teamwork interpersonal and leadership skills. Proficient computer skills.

    Effective use of technology , instruments, tools and information systems.

    Ability to seek a team approach.

    Ability to give guidance and direction as required.

    Works on the Production Floor as well as in an office environment.
