FlexNGate is a dynamic, privately owned OEM auto parts manufacturer with 68 manufacturing facilities in 11 countries. The FlexNGate Mechanical Assembly Group designs, develops, validates, and manufactures high quality automotive mechanical assemblies such as: Jacking Systems, Conventional & Electronic Pedal Assemblies, Park Brake Assemblies, Door, Hood & Trunk Closure Systems and Spare Tire Winch Assemblies. These parts are supplied as original equipment to virtually every major automotive manufacturer in the world.

We are looking for 1 student intern with an interest in Industrial Engineering to join us for a 16 month work term starting in the spring of 2023. Successful candidates will be given projects to complete using all of the resources available at our facility. We have a creative, stimulating working environment and follow a "Can Do" corporate culture from the office to the factory floor.

• Participation in value analysis studies
• Manage plant layout updates and assist with facility construction projects.
• Assist in designing, developing, testing and evaluating integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, inventory control, logistics and material flow cost analysis and production coordination.
• Assisting in project cost estimating and the preparation of quotations.

We're looking for "Hands On" type Industrial Engineering students that have completed their 3rd year of engineering school and are highly motivated self-starters with a strong mechanical aptitude. This is to be combined with excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work within a team environment. Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products and a CAD software environment are preferred. Formal training or job experience in the operation of power hand tools is also a benefit. Each successful candidate must have a valid Ontario G2 licence (full G licence preferred).
