    Scope of the Position

    In this role, you will be a key member of a small, global team charged with implementing a regional security program aimed at protecting the security and safety of our employees, assets, information, business operations and reputation. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including incident and risk management, crisis response and safe travel programs management with policies and standards. Forging consensus and promoting and encouraging, rather than mandating, compliance with our security programs and practices will be a key strength in this position. You will have a working knowledge of processes related to security such as: travel security, emergency notification systems, emergency response and crisis management, information security, and physical and technical security systems technology.

    You will report to the Director-Corporate Security and will serve as the primary safety and security contact for our operations across France, Germany and Spain. You will have the opportunity to work with local, regional and global leadership to set and drive our security agenda. It will require building key relationships both internally and externally, and developing an internal culture, commitment and capability for a global program.

    You will also need to be independent and self-directed and be comfortable and effective working in a quasi-military style management structure.


    • Supervise, lead, and advise any project security team member/advisor within the area of responsibility;
    • Identify and promptly act on all security vulnerabilities, threats and risks relating to the company and outline risk mitigation measures and their associated costs which could have an impact on people, information, assets and infrastructure;
    • Oversee the day to day operations of security policies and strategies in order to mitigate security risks, maintain business resiliency and continuity of services, safeguard the company and its employees and be an advocate for their adoption;
    • Collect and disseminate intelligence that could have an impact on company personnel and\or operations and disseminate in a timely fashion;
    • Ensure that the appropriate strategy and standards for physical security, including solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the company’s assets, including intellectual property are in place and operating;
    • Provides security goals, planning, implementation strategies and support to local, country, and regional management.
    • Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting employees, brands, facilities, information, and other assets from assault, theft, tampering, unauthorized disclosure, and other risks.
    • Plans, develops and implements security protocol measurements in terms of effectiveness, cost, maintenance and alignment with global security goals and objectives
    • Investigates loss, theft, fraud, and other incidents as needed.
    • Supports regional crisis management and other regional teams and committees as appropriate.
    • Provides security assessments for each site, working with the site management to identify security requirements aligned with local laws, regulations and corporate security’s goals and objectives.
    • Develops and audits security standards for suppliers, co-manufactures, and logistics providers to ensure the security of Flex-N-Gate assets.
    • Collects and analyzes intelligence to anticipate significant risks and trends which can impact employees, operations, and other assets.
    • Provides expertise to local site management to develop budgeting for security requirements, activities and programs for each site.
    • Develops security plans for expatriates in the region to address risks associated with housing, family, transportation and extraction.
    • Extrapolates assessment information for improvement of security programs and prepares briefing reports and recommendations to the Director-Corporate Security.
    • Audits and ensures local security activities and actions comply with all applicable in country and U.S. legal and regulatory requirements, to include the C-TPAT Program.
    • Maintains relationships with in-country governments, law enforcement, intelligence assets and international security agencies
    • Support and implements policies related to physical security.
    • Participate in the development of global, operational security standards, procedures and protocols


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is desired
    • 8 to 12 years’ experience with law enforcement, intelligence agency or private sector security organization.
    • 5 years’ experience in the region.
    • Multilingual in English required and German, French or Spanish is desirable.
    • European Working Status or Citizenship is desirable.
    • Experience in conducting investigations in multiple countries.
    • Project management.
    • Knowledge of security systems design and installation.
    • Specialization preferred in white collar crime, senior level security protection and special event security preferred.
    • Must have experience managing security and/or law enforcement programs over a diverse cultural and legal environment
    • Capable of attaining a Secret Level II security clearance and a NATO Secret level security clearance desired
    • Membership in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS)
      • CPP before or during employment
    • 50% travel will be required.
